Birch Bowls

Old dead Alaskan Birch or Paper Birch leach salts from the earth and develop unique, one-of-a-kind,
patterns in the wood.  This bowl was turned from a piece of salvaged log that, while still solid was dried for about 4 years, thus preventing the wood from developing rot.  Once turned and sanded it is finished with a, food safe, Beeswax and lemon oil mix that brings out the natural patina of the wood.
